Extras Casting Open Call for \"Up In The Air\"

A comedy from Paramount Pictures, directed by Jason Reitman.

The movie begins filming in St. Louis on March 3rd and continues thru the end of April.

    * Men and women (adults - age 18 and over) are invited to attend the open call.

    * We are not asking for children or teen submissions at this time.

    * Men and all ethnicities are especially encouraged.

    * Approx. 2,000 extras will be hired in St. Louis.

    * NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY.

We are looking for the following types:

    * People with airport and airline experience. Ticket agents, flight attendants, security screeners, etc.

    * People with hotel industry experience, especially front desk.

    * People to portray travelers, including international types.

    * Men and women to portray corporate / business types.

    * Saturday, Jan. 24th: 10am to 4pm

    * Sunday, Jan. 25th: 11am to 4pm

What to bring:

A pen and a recent color snapshot. (Photo will not be returned) The best photo is full length or waist up. The extras casting form is on this site. Please download, fill out and bring with you to the open call. (Forms will also be available at the open call.)

Extras will be compensated. If selected, most extras will be asked to work one day somewhere in the St. Louis area. We film Monday thru Friday. Compensation is $56.40 for 8 hours, then OT after. Our typical work day is 12-13 hours, and you must be available for the entire filming day to be considered.

Posted: 1/6/09 - Joni Tackette is the St. Louis Casting Director for the feature film, \"Up In The Air.\" Production begins in St. Louis in early March and will finish at the end of April.

Registration for people interested in working as paid extras while the movie films in St. Louis will begin around mid-January 2009.

Approximately 2,100 extras will be needed during the eight weeks of St. Louis filming. All types of men and women will be needed.
